Christmas Chutney

This is my Christmas Chutney recipe for this year! It makes 2-3 small jars and is very easy.

You’ll need:

2 apples, peeled, cored and finely chopped

200g dried fruit such as raisins, sultanas etc – I had half a packet of sultanas left over in my cupboard!

200g onions, peeled and finely chopped

250ml vinegar of your choice – this time I used a combo of white (white reminds me of travel to Asia and I like the tang), and balsamic (80/20 split)

1tsp of ground cinnamon, a pinch of nutmeg, and a tsp of yellow mustard seeds.

25g salt

200g sugar

How to:

Simply place everything in a pan, bring to the boil and simmer until everything looks thick and lovely, about an hour, but keep checking it. Then place the hot chutney into jars and seal. Enjoy!
