MINDFULNESS FOR EDUCATIONAL STAFF IN SCHOOLS, COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

TWS works with schools, colleges, universities and other organisations to deliver mindfulness programmes that work. The programmes enable participants to understand the concepts and potential benefits of mindfulness. They will gain the skills to enable them to achieve their personal goals whether that is stress reduction, increased productivity, team working, better sleep, concentration and much more. You can then also translate appropriate elements to your own students to add an extra layer to your teaching. The course can be taken in your premises or at our studio in Swanland. For more information please contact Ali Wileman here.

"The mindfulness course was undertaken by a proportion of interested staff and we are delighted with the results. There is an energy and synergy created in the room during the practice and I know our working relationships have improved."
Angela Singleton, Former Deputy Head, Hymers College.

"The results were very positive, so much so that Ali continued the training, migrating the foundations of the mindfulness course to a mindful hatha yoga framework which still remains to this day. Several teachers have also brought elements of the training into their own class environment, in order to encourage students to focus and stay positive under times of exam stress." David Elstone, Former Headmaster, Hymers College.

“At Cottingham High School, we persuaded our Leadership Team to run Mindfulness sessions for staff as part of our twilight training programme and Ali came in to run the course. I found it extremely rewarding and continue to use the techniques regularly to help me relax and focus. Lots of my colleagues were quite envious when I explained what we were doing and how helpful it was…now they all want to take part! I have already incorporated Mindfulness techniques for students into some of my lessons…it’s a lovely way to settle a class just after lunch! The next step is to do more focused sessions with a small group of students with the aim of helping them with anger management, concentration, etc.” John Leeming, Cottingham High School
